  50. August 2 Canada Express Entry Draw Invites 3,264 Candidates with a Minimum 441 Score

    A total of 3,264 receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the first Express Entry draw to occur in August, 2017. The newest draw, which took place on August 2, invited candidates each had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of 441. So, candidates in the Express Entry pool with a score of 441 or above at the time of the draw are now they are eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residency.

    If you want to obtain an ITA in an Express Entry draw, individuals are required to meet the eligibility criteria of one of the three immigration programs of the Express Entry system — the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FTSC), or Canadian Experience Class (CEC). After entering the above pool, candidates are allocated a CRS score based on several criteria including education, work, civil status information, experience, language ability, and other factors. This score determines their ranking in the pool.

  51. The First Express Entry Draw of July 2017 Invites 3,202 Candidates to Immigrate to Canada with a minimum CRS score of 440

    The first draw of month July introduced a minimum CRS score of 440 on 12th July 2017. Since recent changes to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which were introduced on June 6, 2017, a total of 3,202 candidates have been issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the second Express Entry draw. As a result, candidates in the Express Entry pool with a score of 440 or above at the time of the draw are now in a position to apply for Canadian permanent resident status.

    In the latest draw, which took place on June 28, 2017, saw a minimum CRS score requirement of 449. Consequently, candidates in the Express Entry pool with a score of 449 or above at the time of the draw are now in a position to apply for Canadian permanent resident status. As recent changes to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) were introduced on June 6, 2017, in the first Express Entry draw, a total of 3,409 candidates have been issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

    It is noted that in recent draw the minimum CRS cut-off is higher than in previous draws. There is a delay of total 28 days between this most recent draw and the previous draw, on May 31. As this led to entry of more individuals to the pool over that period. In addition, many candidates who were already in the pool received a boost in their score on June 6 when additional points were introduced for siblings in Canada, and French language ability. Now that some of these candidates have exited the pool, it may be expected that CRS requirements may decrease in future draws, as has been the trend throughout 2017.
